From established private clubs to public courses serving entire communities, Wadsworth Golf Construction remains busy transforming golf facilities across the country. Each project presents its own opportunities and challenges, but the goal remains the same: work closely with the owner, architect and golf course team to create a finished product that enhances playability, aesthetics, maintenance and overall golfer experience.
Here are several recent projects that illustrate the scope and variety of Wadsworth’s work.

Wayzata Country Club – Wayzata, Minnesota
Wayzata Country Club recently welcomed golfers back to its transformed course. Wadsworth’s work included new greens, tees, fairways and irrigation, along with extensive bunker improvements and regrassing throughout the course, bringing to life the work of Jackson Kahn Design, project architect. The renovation enhances the layout’s strategic and aesthetic qualities while making the course more enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. This refreshed golf experience respects Wayzata’s history and position the club for the future.

Desert Mountain Club – Scottsdale, Arizona
Wadsworth’s work at Desert Mountain demonstrates the value of building lasting relationships and understanding the unique demands of a multi-course golf community. Following the 2024 major restoration of the Cochise Course, Wadsworth continued its work with Nicklaus Design at Desert Mountain with 2025 remodels of the Apache and No. 7 courses. These projects represent a significant body of work at one of the Southwest’s most prominent golf destinations. Desert Mountain’s courses present distinct design and construction considerations, making careful planning and execution essential to maintaining the character of each course while improving the playing experience.

Hinsdale Golf Club – Hinsdale, Illinois
At Hinsdale Golf Club, Wadsworth is helping bring a historic Chicago-area golf course into its next chapter. Working with architect David Esler, the project includes detailed improvements to greens, fairways, bunkers and other strategic features, with an emphasis on restoring the character of the original property. Recent work has included the shaping of greens and distinctive hazard features, along with the construction of Better Billy Bunker systems. Another example of how smart construction complements an established course rather than simply replacing what came before.

Orchard Valley Golf Course – Aurora, Illinois
A major renovation at Orchard Valley Golf Course is bringing a new level of playability and performance to this popular Fox Valley Park District facility. Working with architect Greg Martin, Wadsworth undertook an extensive, 22-month renovation that included improvements to greens, bunkers and tees, a new fairway on No. 13, new retaining walls, reconstruction of existing bridges, selected cart-path work and a completely new irrigation system. All tees, fairways and greens were also regrassed with disease-resistant varieties. This is a comprehensive renovation that modernizes a public golf course that was originally built by Wadsworth Golf Construction Company in 1993.
Huntington Crescent Club – Huntington New York
With direction from architects Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dr. Chris Hurdzan, Wadsworth recently completed a dramatic renovation at Huntington Crescent Club in June 2026 on Long Island. This project consisted of re-routing 3 golf holes, rebuilding 3 new greens, expanding half a dozen existing greens, rebuilding or re-leveling most of the tee complexes, rebuilding all bunkers with the Better Billy Bunker system, paving new cart paths, expanded fairway sodding on several holes and irrigation installation in all work areas. This project was completed ahead of schedule and just in time for the club to reopen during Father’s Day weekend.
